Naming of Transparency Officer
At its meeting on August 8, 2013, the Board of Regents, State of Iowa approved the recommendations of the Board’s Transparency Task Force which were developed to increase the transparency of the Board and the Regent institutions. The approved recommendations include best practices for: 1) responding to public information requests; and 2) providing additional access to public information of interest to Iowans.
The recommendations are outlined in the final report of the Task Force to the Board of Regents. The Task Force recommended that a Transparency Officer be named at each institution and the Board Office. The list of designated officers is available here.
